The Government are looking for sustainable home ownership and at present will give no assistance to anyone unable to pay their mortgage for at least 9 months!
ASU insurance is designed to protect your mortgage and other regular monthly commitments. It will pay a pre-defined amount to you (benefit) if you are unable to work due to a qualifying condition (please see and read policy summary)
The policy is designed to pay the monthly benefit until you are able to return to work or you have claimed for up to 24 months depending on the level of benefit chosen.
This type of insurance has a simple application process requiring only the briefest medical questionnaire. It is possible to choose an ‘Unemployment only’ or ‘Accident and Sickness only’ options to reduce the monthly cost of the cover.
